The Iran Nuclear Deal was effective in halting Iran’s development of nuclear weapons, which is why even senior members of the Trump Administration opposed the President's withdrawl from the deal.
Predictably, Iran reacted by resuming their stockpiling of nuclear fuel.
Now, reports indicate Iran’s supply of enriched uranium has tripled. They are closer than ever to developing a nuclear weapon.
Instead of launching missiles at Iran without Congressional approval and bringing both our countries to the brink of war, our nation should be doing everything we can to curb Iran’s development of nuclear weapons through diplomatic means.
That's why it's so important for Senator McConnell to allow an immediate vote on the Iran Diplomacy Act so Congress can rein in our out of control “toddler-in-chief.”
Iran does pose a threat to our nation, and we do need to take steps to ensure the safety of Americans. But the Trump Administration’s actions are only bringing us closer to war with them.
