Dear Friends,
As I prepare to spend another holiday season with my family, I am reflecting on the past five years – so much has happened. Long before my release, I started taking the necessary steps toward rehabilitation because of the hope that FAMM's newsletters provided. I was hopeful that one day, a judge would see my changed ways, and they did; I was one of the first to benefit from the First Step Act. I am so thankful to have been given a second chance. I am now back with my family, engaged to my beautiful fiancée, working hard delivering food and medical supplies, and building my start-up company. During this time, I am also thinking about the many more like me who also deserve a second chance.
Today, support people who are taking the necessary steps to learn new skills and better themselves, and who are looking for their second chance. Donate to FAMM today – we must continue the fight for reforms like the First Step Act. [link removed] [[link removed]]
The First Step Act opened many doors for incarcerated individuals seeking to prove they have taken the necessary steps toward a second chance at freedom. In the five years since passage of the law, more than 30,000 individuals have been released and have returned home.
Will you donate today to ensure FAMM can continue promoting reform and reuniting families? [link removed] [[link removed]]
Thank you, and happy holidays!
