Dear John,

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of accompanying Diana, Jazmen, and Mikaela to a department store to help them find outfits to wear for the CDF Beat the Odds® Celebration on Thursday, March 12.

The next day, I joined Adeolu and Caleb on their quest to find the perfect suits for the occasion. I loved seeing them look at themselves proudly in the mirror in their new outfits, imagining how they would feel on their big night.

This year’s Beat the Odds honorees have invited their friends and family, rehearsed their speeches, and prepared themselves for the moment when they will receive their awards.

They are ready. Are you?
