Yesterday, the state Supreme Court heard arguments in a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Wisconsin’s state legislative maps. Together with a broad coalition of partners, we’ve been waiting – and working for – this moment for a long time.
Your dedication and advocacy have helped shape this opportunity. Time and again, you’ve shown up to testify against bad redistricting bills and rally for fair maps. You gave input to the People’s Maps Commission during the redistricting process in 2021.
And, of course, you voted. In 2022, you re-elected Gov. Evers, and staved off a veto-proof Republican supermajority in the legislature so we can defend against anti-voter legislation. This spring, you elected Justice Janet Protasiewicz to the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.
Step by step, we are moving closer to fixing our broken democracy. With a stronger democracy comes greater power to protect our environment. Thanks for all you do to make it possible!

Halfway there! We’ve already knocked 40,000 doors!
President Biden’s Affordable Clean Energy Plan [[link removed]] is the largest climate investment in U.S. history. For the next 10 years, homeowners can save money on solar panels, appliances, insulation, electric vehicles, and more. Wisconsin Conservation Voters is knocking on 80,000 doors in the Madison and Milwaukee areas, helping homeowners learn about these benefits and implement projects.

David in Shorewood had heard a little about Biden's Affordable Clean Energy Plan but was glad to get extra info from the canvass. He is considering installing a new heat pump, and the savings available are perfect for helping him finance the upgrade. He took a yard sign to show his support.
Isabella in Whitefish Bay typically relies on her grandkids for info about new technology so she was very happy that a canvasser came to her door to explain the Affordable Clean Energy Plan to her. Our canvasser helped walk her through the literature and highlighted some of the savings available, including a home energy audit that Isabella plans to look into. She asked for a yard sign to show the neighborhood that she supports initiatives like this one.
Jeffery in Madison was very interested to learn about Biden's Affordable Clean Energy Plan, and provided his phone and email to receive updates about it.
Tina in Madison didn’t know much about Biden's Affordable Clean Energy Plan or any of the incentives it offered. However, once she heard more, she said she was enthusiastic about the opportunity to save money and help create a greener community.

Rallying support for Green Bay’s clean energy plan
Conservation voters in Green Bay are hard at work organizing support for the Clean Energy Green Bay Plan [[link removed]]. The Clean Energy Green Bay Plan is a roadmap to put municipal operations and the community at-large on the path to 100 percent clean energy and carbon neutrality by 2050, including reducing carbon emission by 40 percent by 2030. Organizers held an activist training last week and they are lining up folks to testify at upcoming meetings and contact their alders in support of the plan.
