Hi John,
Our development team has been working hard all summer on some great new updates! I am especially excited about the advanced targeting features that went up last night. You’re now able to target your engaged activists with a lot more confidence and do it a lot more efficiently! Check out the details below, and reply to this email if you have any questions for me.
Target emails by verified openers
Advanced filtering unlocked! You can now target emails to just your ‘verified’ or ‘unverified’ openers. 'Verified' meaning we are reasonably sure a human opened the email, and 'unverified' meaning the activist has privacy protection active, and we cannot tell whether they or a machine opened the email. You’ll also be able to report on verified openers everywhere email stats are displayed.
Learn more about the feature here, including the details on backwards compatibility.
Target by ID
This is an older feature that got a nice upgrade in this release. It has a specific use case, but if it works for you it really works for you. ID targeting allows you to cut a list off of Action Network, upload it within seconds, and then target that upload in an email. Noting that it only works if the emails already exist in your group. Check out targeting by ID in the Details Menu and via support documentation here.
Ability to add/remove steps in published ladders
Calling all ladder power users! If you have ever tried to edit a ladder, only to have to close it, duplicate it, and then edit a new ladder, this feature is for you! Instead of having to duplicate and edit a ladder, you can now edit and remove steps. Learn more about our powerful ladder feature here.
Other updates worth noting:
- Set your group default to kilometers instead of miles via the settings tab.
- Create multiple tags at once, comma separated.
- Set group-wide default queries and reports for email and mobile targeting via the settings tab.
- Save time and bulk upgrade and set admin permissions.
- Optional disclaimer text box added to the bottom all actions.
As with all our new features, these were chosen, brainstormed, and paid for by our Development Partners at the AFL-CIO, Daily Kos, the DNC, and the Canadian Labour Congress — read more about our cooperative development process here. Check out our release notes to follow along with what’s new on Action Network.
Have a question or comment? Feel free to reply to this email, and I’ll get back to you.
Take care,
