Support Palestine This Land Day

On March 30, 1976

Thousands of Palestinians revolted and marched throughout 1948 Palestine against the Israeli decision to expropriate large tracts of Palestinian land in the Galilee. Since then, March 30 has been commemorated each year as an act of Palestinian steadfastness and solidarity.

The Israeli regime continuously cuts down olive trees and replaces them with coniferous trees to change the identity of the Palestinian landscape. At Middle East Books and More we are supporting the Debwania ([link removed]) project, whose goal is to plant 1,000 olive trees in Palestine each year on Land Day. A project started by Palestinian-American photographer Hanan Awad, the Debwania project embraces the spirit of Land Day. Each purchase of a Debwania photo goes toward planting six olive trees in Palestine. Once the trees have been planted, you will be notified of their location by the project.
