Church Ambassador Network Hosts Pastor’s Lunch in Cartersville
Roughly 20 pastors joined us for our Church Ambassador Network lunch in Cartersville last week. At this meeting, Scott McInnis shared about the vital role of the Church, the power and influence of Christians, and the mandate to engage. Attendees also were treated to a great lunch and remarks from Senator Ed Setzler. Photos are below.

Frontline Goes to Iowa
Our team was on hand for the 2nd SOCONCON for social conservative leaders hosted by Family Policy Alliance. We also joined our good friends at The Family Leader for their presidential Thanksgiving Forum. There, my counterpart Bob Vander Plaats had a “Thanksgiving discussion” with Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy that was very informative. To watch the conversation, see: [INSERT LINK]

Addressing Pro-Life Losses Head On
There really is not a positive way to spin what happened recently in Ohio, Kentucky, and Virginia – which voted to recognize a constitutional “right to abortion,” re-elect a pro-abortion Governor, and deny a pro-life Governor a pro-life legislative majority respectively – earlier this month.
The pro-life movement was vastly outspent, and the other side, by and large, messaged better.
However, the lesson the pro-life movement takes away from these elections cannot be “give up.” The frontrunner for the Republican nomination called Heartbeat laws “terrible” and has blamed pro-lifers for losses. Consultants, pundits, and the media all want to double down on that messaging. They want you to lose hope and they want to change the conversation away from the horror of abortion.
Recently, I recorded a quick video (see below) with some thoughts. To summarize:
Play offense – the pro-life movement needs to be proactive, craft clear and broadly appealing policies, point out the wickedness of the other side, and speak and act with boldness and consistency. Never forget that, in a rough midterm for Republicans, pro-life governors in Texas, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, and, yes, Georgia won huge victories after championing game-changing pro-life laws.
Don’t be discouraged – our main message following the Dobbs decision wa that the battle was only beginning. It took 50 years to overturn Roe. I don’t know what God’s timing is moving forward, but there was always going to be a cultural backlash stemming from 50 years of lives. Entire generations were told that abortion was a “constitutional right,” and now they believe they’ve lost fundamental freedoms. We have work to do to counter that narrative.
Worship the King – thousands of lives have been saved in Georgia alone as a result of what God has done in the life movement. Where are not where we want to be, but that does not diminish the progress He has granted us. There is cause to celebrate and be grateful for victories.
Celebrate what He has made – too often, our movement sounds angry. Instead, pro-lifers should be the most loving, optimistic, and hopeful people. We stand up for life because we believe EVERYONE is made in His image. We are not simply anti-abortion. We are pro-life! And, that ethos should permeate our policy positions, our communications, and how we treat others.

What Nikki Haley got Right in the Debate
There was much discussion of the life issue in the recent debate, and here are some quick takes – first with what Nikki Haley got right.
She is correct when talking about the time it will take and the reality behind passing big, bold national standards for life. While I will not vote for a candidate that does not support those standards, it will take multiple cycles to have the 60 votes in the Senate needed to pass sweeping pro-life laws, just like it will take multiple cycles in Georgia to significantly move the needle beyond the Heartbeat Law. We have to change the culture, affect the electorate, and continue election work.
Making this statement isn’t defeatism. It’s seizing an opportunity to point out how wicked the other side is. Their extremist base won’t let them take “moderate” position. They want abortion up to (and beyond) birth. No limits on abortion for them, and, if elected, they are in lock step on this.
Polling shows America divided on the issue of abortion, but there is far more support for bold pro-life positions than for unequivocal pro-abortion positions. It is time to make the pro-aborts pay at the ballot box for holding to extremism that they would actually enact in office.
What Nikki Haley got Wrong in the Debate
The former UN Ambassador is a very smooth and articulate debater, but her comments on “not judging” on the issue were well-intended fluff. No, you don’t have to despise someone because they are wrong on the issue – you can and should deal in love.
However, her comments were indicative of a “hey, let’s just agree to disagree” mentality. Abortion is a serious issue. It needs to be treated as serious, and we need to keep pushing. If we truly believe that innocent lives are at stake, we cannot simply wash our hands of the issue.
At The Family Leader’s Thanksgiving Forum last week, she also was talking about this issue in the context of “my truth.” As believers, we know that there is only Truth, and one has to have concerns about the moral waffling of the former UN Ambassador on this and other issues.
What Vivek Ramaswamy got Semi-Right/Wrong in the Debate
Vivek Ramaswamy touched on something very important – the need to be clear in our messaging, proactive, and organized. He talked about adoption and sexual responsibility. All that was spot on.
However, as someone stepping on the stage to run for office – and as someone who accurately criticized a “culture of losing” that permeates much of the Republican Party – Vivek’s response came across as a critique of the pro-life movement and those who have poured themselves into it rather than an amplification of it. Yes, the movement needs to do better, but our counterparts in Ohio worked hard against difficult odds. Vivek and others were not standing with them. Throwing stones after the fact is poor taste.
Far too often, the movement gets criticized by those unfamiliar with it. Instead of the criticism, the work of pro-life activists, like my friend Suzanne Guy who runs a pro-life ministry out of her church and who serves in countless ways, needs to be spotlighted, encouraged, and supported. Vivek’s answer showed a need for him to get better plugged into a movement he claims to want to be a part of.
What Ron DeSantis got Right in the Debate
The former UN Ambassador is a very smooth and articulate debater, but her comments on “not judging” on the issue were well-intended fluff. No, you don’t have to despise someone because they are wrong on the issue – you can and should deal in love.
However, her comments were indicative of a “hey, let’s just agree to disagree” mentality. Abortion is a serious issue. It needs to be treated as serious, and we need to keep pushing. If we truly believe that innocent lives are at stake, we cannot simply wash our hands of the issue.
Stopping Antisemitic Voices on the “Right”
Most of our nation – and especially most of the conservative movement – stands with Israel and against Hamas. That’s why there has been so much backlash against liberal, ill-educated college students who stand with the terrorist organization. Woke leftists, who have long hated Israel, are, no doubt, seeking to raise up a generation of antisemites.
However, let me say the thing fewer conservatives are talking about – there are antisemitic voices on the “right” as well. I use “right” in quotes because these are not people of a conservative worldview. Instead they are people who pick and choose some conservative causes, speak loudly, and get attention from those on our side of the aisle. Many, like Nick Fuentes, are not on the ideological spectrum at all and are simply angry, racist demagogues that the media wants to portray as conservatives.
One such voice often heralded by conservatives is Candace Owens – whose repeated attacks on Israel were called “absolutely disgraceful” by her boss, Ben Shapiro, recently. There are other voices conservatives have cheered that are showing their utter lack of principles now. My friend Erick Erickson has done a great job calling them out.
I bring this up to say that it is easy to put up a Facebook image saying you support Israel. But, one of the best ways you can actually support the Jewish people is to pay attention to what people are saying during this time for choosing. Many are revealing that they are not principled conservatives. They are, instead, grifters following money and fame. We need to call those people out, and, I can assure you, that those who do not see and articulate a clear distinction between Israel and Hamas will never be platformed by Frontline.
Republican Ballot Options for Georgia Presidential Primary Set
This week, the Georgia Republican Party finalized the ballot for our state’s presidential primary. By the time we vote in March, the race could, effectively, be over. Or, we could prove to be a pivotal state in deciding a nominee.
While Democrats do not have any serious challengers to Joe Biden yet, the GAGOP is putting 11 candidates on the ballot: Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, Doug Burgum, Asa Hutchinson, Ron DeSantis, David Stuckenberg, Ryan Binkley, Chris Christie, Nikki Haley, Perry Johnson, and Tim Scott.
It is notable that Burgum and Hutchinson have failed to qualify for recent debates, and that Stuckenberg, Binkley, and Johnson have never qualified. Johnson and Tim Scott have also suspended their campaigns. More are certain to drop out prior to the Georgia primary date.
The first state to vote will be Iowa, with their Caucus set to occur on January 15th. I – and other members of the Frontline team – will be in the state this week for a key presidential discussion.
Governor Kemp Committed to Keeping Georgia in 2024
While so much attention around the world will be focused on Georgia’s role in the presidential election in November 2024, control of our state could very much be on the line. All 236 seats in the Georgia General Assembly will be on the ballot, and leftist judges have abused their power to force new maps designed to harm our ability to preserve conservative majorities.
Thankfully, Governor Brian Kemp is among those thinking ahead and focused on victory. He recently donated $175,000 to key allies looking to fend off election challenges.
School Choice Broadly Supported
According to a recent poll commissioned by Governor Kemp, support for SB 233 – which would be the state’s largest school choice expansion – is over 66%. Last year, the Governor was instrumental in getting the bill near the finish line before 16 Republicans refused to put students first. We are working to change their minds and encourage those interested in continued service in the General Assembly to do so.
What Planned Parenthood’s New Hire Reveals
One of the world’s most evil organizations, Planned Parenthood, remains committed to the eradication of as many humans as possible. However, this racist, abortion-profiteering entity has seen much of its business in Georgia, and surrounding states, thwarted due to the enactment of life-saving laws.
That’s why Planned Parenthood is leaning in on its new tenet – pushing a radical LGBTQ agenda. The organization recently boasted that its new leader for the Southeast is a woman who identifies as “nonbinary.”
Notice how the organization defines its mission: “Planned Parenthood's mission is to provide voluntary family planning services and education that enhance personal and social understanding of human sexuality.”
As they tout their new hire, PP cites her “experience as a leader fighting for women, girls, trans folx, and gender-expansive people.” Repeatedly, the organization promotes the way she identifies, and they connect the timing as “at a time when abortion is banned across most of the South.”
What is clear about their gameplan moving forward is that Planned Parenthood will likely shift even more attention to indoctrination, engaging in schools, pushing the idea of “gender reassignment,” etc.
While we know that Planned Parenthood has never been about women, this hiring underscores that it is not; it’s an organization that cannot even stomach to call a woman made in the image of God a “her.” Instead, PP mocks womanhood and acquiesces to the ridiculous “they” pronoun.
MLB All Star Game Coming to Georgia in 2025
Remember when Major League Baseball decided to move the All Star Game away from Atlanta because of Georgia’s “voter suppression” invented by Stacey Abrams and a false mainstream media narrative?
Well, our laws haven’t changed.
But, hoping that nobody would notice that they got it wildly wrong the first time, the MLB made “amends” by awarding Atlanta as the host of the All Star Game in 2025.
Governor Kemp said it well: “Georgia’s voting laws haven’t changed, but it’s good to see MLB’s misguided understanding of them has.”
Stacey Abrams’ Brother-in-Law Charged with Human Trafficking
The brother-in-law of election denier, con artist, and softcore porn novelist Stacey Abrams has been charged with human trafficking. He is also the husband of a liberal judge who has abused her power. Read more about the story, here: [link removed].
Pray for Special Session
On November 29th, Georgia will gavel in for a Special Session to redraw legislative and congressional district maps in accordance with a radical ruling from an Obama-appointed judge. Please pray that this session will reflect what’s in the best interest of Georgians, preserve our conservative majority, and satisfy – without acquiescing – the demands of this leftist judge.
