Fitzgerald Leads House Delegation in 2nd Annual Remembrance of Waukesha Christmas Parade Victims

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued a statement after re-introducing a bipartisan House Resolution, signed by the entire Wisconsin House delegation, honoring the victims of the devastating attack on the Waukesha Christmas Parade in 2021.

Congressman Fitzgerald also attended the unveiling of the Parade Memorial on Main Street and Grede Park.

"It’s been two years since the devastating attack took place on the Waukesha Christmas Parade, but the grief of losing six innocent people is still just as painful for our community. It was powerful to be with the Waukesha community this evening at the Parade Memorial ceremony and to see the resilience and strength of all those who gathered,” said Congressman Scott Fitzgerald. “On this second anniversary, we remember and cherish the spirits of those no longer with us and pray for healing and peace for their families. I thank the entire Wisconsin House delegation for joining me again this year in honoring Virginia Sorenson, Tamara Durand, LeAnna Owen, Jane Kulich, Wilhelm Hospel, and Jackson Sparks. This is a day we will never forget."
