Dear John,
“Turkey” sure is making headlines this week in New York City :-)
Over the weekend, I was honored to join Council Member Crystal Hudson and Churches United for Fair Housing (CUFFH) for their annual turkey giveaway.
Together we distributed 1,500 Thanksgiving meals! That’s a lot of Turkey.
Here’s how I see it, John:
Turkey should have a special place on your Thanksgiving table.
And that’s the only kind of special treatment that Turkey should have in New York City.
If you share my way of seeing it, can you please rush a $5 contribution before Thursday?
Your contribution will help keep me talking turkey—conducting hard-hitting audits, issuing budget reports, promoting good government, and making sure that New York City is run transparently and effectively.
Remember: If you are a NYC resident, donations are matched 8 to 1 by the City’s matching program. That means a contribution of just $10 actually has a $90 impact!
As always, I don’t accept contributions from corporate PACs or real estate PACs, or from principals of for-profit real estate development or private equity companies.
Consistent with NYC Campaign Finance Board rules, I also don’t accept contributions from people who aren’t either U.S. citizens or permanent residents of New York City. So I really could use yours.
And yes, my family told me they’d be grateful if I could cut down on the dad jokes—but you know I couldn't quit cold turkey.
Thank you for your support, and have a wonderful holiday,
Brad
