Last week, Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell launched a new gun violence prevention unit.

The unit will work on ensuring Massachusetts has the strongest common-sense gun laws in the country, defend the laws from legal challenge, and support community-based gun violence prevention work.

AG Campbell is just the latest Democratic AG taking action to prevent gun violence in their state. Meanwhile, Republican AGs are working overtime to loosen gun restrictions. They’re in the pockets of groups like the NRA, and blood is on their hands.  

We need more Democratic AGs who will work to strengthen our gun safety laws and make sure illegal guns don’t fall into the wrong hands. We need elected officials who will work to keep us safe, not make us afraid that we’ll be next.
