Can I be honest with you, friend?

I hate sending emails like this. That's why I won't beg you to donate ahead of tonight's crucial midnight deadline, but I will lay out the facts:

My potential GOP opponent – Mitch McConnell's handpicked candidate – outraised me in the first week of his campaign launch. And shortly after, a shady billionaire poured $2 million into the race to help flip this seat red.

McConnell and his allies flooded Nevada's last Senate race with over a staggering $55 million (only to come up less than a percentage point short of winning). And with TIME reporting that Nevada could deliver everything from the Senate to the White House to Republicans in 2024, we need all the support we can get if we're going to fend off their attacks.

But our midnight fundraising deadline is just hours away, and we're on track to fall short of our $20,000 goal. So please, without much time left, I have to ask:

Will you chip in $5 or more to my campaign and Patty Murray’s – every dollar makes a difference – to help me fight back against the GOP, win in Nevada, and defend our Democratic Senate majority?
