Dear John,
Our democracy is stronger when we stand together and become the leaders our communities need. This year’s Election Day victories are proof of that.
NALpistas and bold leaders in our Elected Officials Network made history all across the country. Just look at St. Louis Park Mayor-elect Nadia Mohamed, who became the first Somali American to win a general election for mayor. In Massachusetts, Natasha Megie-Maddrey won her election to Lynn City Council, becoming the first Afro Latina to serve her community on the council. And in Washington state, Han Tran became the only Asian American elected to the Northshore District School Board. They now join the impressive ranks of our other 215 alumni serving in elected and appointed offices!
Democracy wins when New Americans show up. And with your continued support, we can make our dream for a sustainable, more inclusive future a reality.
You are an integral part of our movement. Please join us ahead of #GivingTuesday and donate today to ensure that our movement continues to flourish and inspire the next generation of leaders.
Can we count you in to power the movement?
In solidarity,
The New American Leaders Team
