John, earlier this month, we learned that several ceasefire advocates are under attack for their courage to stand for peace.

But we know that an attack on them is an attack on all those demanding a ceasefire.

As the majority in Congress pushes to spend $14 billion in taxpayer dollars to escalate this senseless conflict that has killed more than 11,000 Palestinians, we know just how valuable it is to protect and defend members of Congress who prioritize humanity and peace.

That's why I'm proud to join Congresswoman Tlaib, Congresswoman Summer Lee and Congresswoman Cori Bush as we call for a ceasefire.

And collectively, our voices are getting louder.

We learned today that there will be a four day pause, but everyday that there is not an enduring ceasefire, more innocent Palestinians – including Palestinian children – are murdered with US support and our tax dollars. We can't stand idly by, we must act now.
