Hi there!

This week, I’m thinking about just how thankful I am to have the unwavering support of my family throughout this campaign. Along with you, they’re the foundation for Team Alsobrooks, and I wouldn’t be in this race without them.

I’d like to tell you more about how my family lifts up this campaign, but before I get into it (or if you don’t have time to read this email all the way through), will you chip in $10 to make sure we don’t fall behind on fundraising over the Thanksgiving holiday?

My mom comes from a very long line of awe-inspiring women, so it’s no surprise she became the incredible lady she is. She taught my sister and me to give back to our community in big and small ways – a lesson that helped guide me towards public service.

While raising two kids and working full-time as a receptionist, my mom always made time to chat with neighbors, care for family, and show up for friends. It wasn’t easy, and her example inspires me every day.

My dad taught us important lessons, too. He taught us to listen more than we talk; to always be willing to learn; and to follow up our words with action. He prepared me for the toughest parts of public service, even if he didn’t know it at the time.

And of course, my amazing sister, Kim, who’s my rock and supports me in all that I do. When I was deciding to run for Senate, she gave me the push I needed. I can always trust her to tell me the honest truth.

I know I’ve said a lot here, team, so thank you for reading it all the way through. I’m proud to fight for a better Maryland for my family and for yours.
