Dear Friend,

When most people hear "Thanksgiving," images of massive feasts, extended family, and Black Friday shopping deals likely flood their minds.

While Thanksgiving is recognized as a national holiday, the day has profound roots in the history of the United States and traditions that stretch back to before 1776. Those roots tap deep into the soul of America. Preserving them is our biggest mission here at the John Locke Foundation.

To have a freer and more prosperous North Carolina, we must unite to continue to lead by example and by paving the way for prosperity and liberty.

This year, our research, public engagement, and advocacy have laid the groundwork to secure many policy wins, but friend, we are far from over.

Today, we have a unique opportunity to extend your reach, whether you're supporting Locke for the first time, or you've been a long-term partner.

Every year, Giving Tuesday takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and is dedicated to promoting acts of generosity.

This Thanksgiving, a generous supporter of the John Locke Foundation has pledged to match every gift, dollar for dollar, in celebration of Giving Tuesday.

This incredible gesture ensures that your contribution ([link removed]) , no matter the size, will have TWICE the impact from today, November 21, to next Friday, December 1.

Here's how you can participate:
1. Make Your Donation: Visit our donation page ([link removed]) and choose the amount you wish to contribute.
2. Double Your Impact: To have your donation matched, put "Giving Tuesday" in the memo of your gift. A simple step for a significant impact!
3. Spread the Word: Rally friends and family to join in, too. Every donation they make contributes to Locke's fight for protecting freedom and liberty and is matched, effectively doubling their impact.

Regardless of size, every donation ([link removed]) is a vital step toward championing liberty, embracing limited government, endorsing free-market principles, and empowering individuals.

I am reminded of these words from President Ronald Reagan:

"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction."

We sincerely appreciate your support in this mission as we take crucial steps toward championing liberty and freedom.

As we take time to give thanks this week, let us be reminded of all the many blessings in our lives, especially the blessing of living in America, the greatest nation on the face of the earth.

Wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!

-Bethany
