Ayanna Pressley for Congress

Happy Thanksgiving Eve-eve.

I hope you have the opportunity to spend time with family and loved ones this week. To me, this holiday is all about centering joy and community. And I can’t think of a better way to do that than through cooking together.

If you’re still planning out what’s going to be on your Thanksgiving table this year (I’m right there with you), feel free to take some inspiration from the Pressley-Harris family:

Corn Pudding Recipe: Ingredients: 1 can whole kernel corn, 1 can cream corn, 2 tablespoons flour, 3 tablespoons butter, 2-3 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 eggs, 1 small can milk. Steps
	1. Melt butter, mixing flour, salt and sugar, then milk
	2. In bowl to bake pudding, pour in cans of corn and eggs
	3. Beat eggs lightly in corn
	4. Pour in mixture composed of flour, salt, sugar and milk
	5. Place in preheated oven at 375 degrees
	6. Bake until top is lightly brown

This corn pudding recipe has been passed down in my family for generations — and we’ve made it a tradition to bake it every Thanksgiving.

Of course, in addition to our annual cooking traditions, I’m grateful for my family, the dedicated members of the A-Team, and every resident of Massachusetts 7th Congressional District who make our community so special.

This Thanksgiving, I’m also holding space for the tragedies abroad and the hardship here at home, centering gratitude for the privileges we have, and sending support to those in need. Another world is possible, if only we work for it.

From our family to yours, wishing you all a healthy and happy holiday. If you choose to make the corn pudding, be sure to respond and let me know how it turned out!

Yours in service,

Ayanna
