Hi John, it’s Lois.
I’m sure you’re busy prepping for the joy and challenges that come with the start of the holiday season.
If your family is anything like mine, you have a tradition of going around the table and sharing what you’re thankful for. As I prepare to participate in this tradition, I’ve taken time to reflect on the gift of working for an organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable lives. Looking back on this year, we have so much to be thankful for!
In January, over 3,000 pro-life Oregonians turned out for the March for Life.
35 pro-life candidates won school board elections so they can protect life in their local school districts.
We held our first annual Celebrate Life event, dedicating extra time to pro-life advocacy in local communities across Oregon.
We were able to stop or change some of the most dangerous legislation I have seen come through the legislature.
Pro-life advocates connected with thousands of Oregonians through the Oregon State Fair and at county fairs and festivals.
And as you heard last week, the first Ontario 40 Days for Life campaign was wildly successful.
And these are just some of the things we did together to change the hearts and minds of our neighbors in Oregon. I am thankful for YOU, John, and your part in our life-saving work.
However you enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday, I hope you have time to reflect on all the many blessings life brings.
Because everyone deserves an advocate,
Lois Anderson
