As we gather with friends and family this Thanksgiving, we pause to reflect on the abundance of gratitude in our hearts. At Waterkeeper Alliance, we're profoundly thankful for supporters like you who have joined us to make our waterways cleaner and healthier.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your past support, and the recent milestones we've achieved are remarkable. Together we:
* Monitored Water: Our groundbreaking report on PFAS contamination in U.S. surface waters found these "forever chemicals" in 83% of 114 tested waterways. ([link removed]) The report provides a compelling data set to support our advocacy for PFAS removal from drinking water, stricter limits on industrial dischargers, and efforts to hold polluters accountable for cleanup.
* Tackled Climate Change: We secured a settlement preventing new oil and gas drilling on 58,000 acres in Montana and the Dakotas ([link removed]) with the Bureau of Land Management, successfully stopped the construction of Colorado's largest dam ([link removed]) through a legal victory with local Waterkeeper groups, collaborated with Bahamian Waterkeepers and partners to work towards permanently halting offshore fossil fuel drilling ([link removed]) , and sent delegates to COP27 in Egypt to share grassroots expertise on opposing harmful hydropower projects.
* Advocated For Action: Supporters like you took over 55,000 actions ([link removed]) to enforce critical environmental regulations and protect our waterways.

As the CEO of Waterkeeper Alliance, I know the power of your voice. And Friend, by raising it, you've joined us in our shared mission to protect everyone’s right to clean water in communities worldwide.

Of course, our work does not end here.

There is so much still to do. But as I and my Waterkeeper colleagues continue the fight — through litigation, organizing, and advocacy — it means everything to know that you're right there with us.
