Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the need for change at your church? You are not alone. Many churches are in a position where change is the only option.
It's no secret that change can be very difficult – both for individuals and organizations – making the task of introducing it incredibly daunting. When you don't know how members will react, you want to approach this challenge in a way that is both loving and doable. Our next blog offers three guiding principles you can use to navigate these stressful moments.
Rev. Angie McCarty has been in full-time ministry since 1999. She pastors a small rural church in Kansas while also serving on Resurrection's Adult Discipleship team. In this blog, she gives firsthand insight into what it means to tackle change with an older, smaller congregation that no longer has any choice but change. Change is complex but essential, and you can lead your congregation in a healthy, productive way. By being prepared and following the principles laid out in this blog, you can help your church emerge from change stronger and more vibrant than you might think.
Read the full blog post, "Leading Change – Three Guiding Principles" to help your congregation not only accept change, but perhaps even embrace it.
