Despite spending most of his time in Congress trying to build a national profile for himself, a lot of folks had never heard of Ken Buck until this year.
But Buck recently emerged as someone in today's GOP willing to show a little courage - telling his fellow Republicans that trying to impeach Joe Biden was a mistake, voting against Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House, and standing up for the rule of law in voting to certify Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 presidential election.
But in today’s ultra-MAGA GOP, courage is more of a liability than an asset. In the face of an aggressive primary from a full-on Trump devotee, Buck recently announced he’s dropping out of the race.
