Hi John,

When I was a young girl, I believed in the possibility of making a difference. As an idealistic 12-year-old, I got inspired by candidates in my community and volunteered to make phone calls for their campaigns, because I felt that a better world was possible. 

Back then, I was fighting to get the Equal Rights Amendment passed, to protect our environment by promoting energy conservation, and to lower costs for families like mine. The more things change, the more things stay the same. I’m still fighting for women’s rights, protecting our environment, and working to lower costs for the people of Long Island.

As I campaign on these same issues, I know my younger self would be proud of the world we're working to achieve -- and she would be humbled to know so many people are in our corner. I am still in awe when I receive messages of support, and even financial contributions, from people like you!

Since I launched my 2024 campaign, everyone who has donated, offered to volunteer, or just sent encouragement has given me strength, inspiration, and hope. Thank you for standing by my side since day one. It is a privilege to work toward a future that aligns with our shared values.

As we continue to make progress and build this campaign, I am honored by the trust you have placed in me to represent New York's First District in Congress. I look forward to the road ahead, and I am endlessly grateful to have you with me as my team builds connections all across the district.
