Dear NCRC members and allies,

With the ongoing concerns about COVID-19 (the Coronavirus), we want you to know that the safety and health of 2020 Just Economy Conference participants is our top priority. We are currently planning to proceed with the conference and want to see you there. We’re also taking precautions to make sure the conference is as safe as we can make it.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are declaring the 2020 Just Economy conference a Handshake/Hug/Touch-Free Zone, which is in line with the conference code of conduct. A friendly smile and a hello is a great alternative. We’re also working with the hotel to ensure appropriate health and safety measures are in place for all participants, such as extra hand sanitizing stations throughout the conference space.

We trust that participants will undertake all necessary precautions to protect their own health and safety—by traveling with hand sanitizers and hand washing frequently—while at the event and during travel. If you have a respiratory illness or fever, please stay home.

In the meantime, please consider these proactive precautions as recommended by the Center for Disease Control, to protect yourself and those around you.

As this dynamic situation evolves, we will continue to utilize other measures as needed and will err on the side of caution. Stay tuned for any further developments.
