Here are our 6 federal housing bills we need your support to pass:

People over Parking Act: would eliminate outdated and expensive parking minimum requirements for new affordable homes that are close to public transit.

Housing Supply and Affordability Act: creates a new Local Housing Policy Grant program that would provide grants to support local efforts to add more homes to communities across the country.

Build More Housing Near Transit Act: offers federal benefits to local governments to encourage them to build more dense housing in urban spaces that are near public transit.

VITAL Act: increases investment in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program to encourage building more affordable homes that are accessible to people with disabilities and seniors.

YIMBY Act: encourages localities to eliminate discriminatory land use policies and remove barriers that prevent needed housing from being built around the country.

Family Stability & Opportunity Vouchers Act: expands the Section 8 program to include 250,000 more vouchers over the next 5 years as well as provide support services to aid families in their housing transition.
We need a lot more housing in our communities across the country, and passing and enforcing these laws is a big step toward that goal.
