Just when I thought Donald Trump and his extremists couldn’t get any more radical, this weekend in New Hampshire, he used language that President Biden called “Nazi rhetoric.”

“We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections.”

I am aghast, but that’s not all of it – Trump also recently remarked that “the blood of America has been poisoned” in regards to undocumented immigrants. Another dog whistle for white supremacy.

Team, this is the same language used to incite an insurrection against the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Only this time this isn’t directed toward elected officials, this is inviting violent attacks against any political opponent – any American that does not stand with the MAGA mob.

I held Donald Trump accountable not just for the attacks on the Capitol, but for every effort he’s made towards tearing down our democracy and the fabric of this country. The reality is, we're on the front lines of a battle for the soul of our nation.
