Dear
John,

In just a few weeks, many people will be
tucking into a Thanksgiving feast. But for too many kids in
District of Columbia
and across America, Thanksgiving will be
just another hungry day.

Help Kids

The stories we hear from families
experiencing hunger would break your heart: cereal for Thanksgiving
dinner, mustard sandwiches and ketchup soup. Not all share in the
plenty of the holidays.

So I'm urging you to respond right
away. Make your first donation to help No Kid Hungry keep kids fed
- no matter what.

As you shop for your holiday meals,
you'll probably notice that things are a bit more expensive than
they used to be. Food prices - especially for pantry staples
like flour, bread, milk and eggs - have skyrocketed this
year. For many families, these rising
costs mean the difference between eating that day and going hungry,
never mind enjoying a Thanksgiving feast.

As a member of the No Kid Hungry
community, you've already shown you care about helping kids
- and donating is one of the best ways to do that. Please make
your first gift now.

Thanks to donors like you, schools and
local communities throughout the U.S. are already reaching kids with
the meals they need to grow and thrive. But holidays like Thanksgiving
can be especially disheartening
for a child or family struggling with
hunger.

As Alexandra Molina, Director of Food &
Nutrition Services at McAllen Independent School District, said,
"What we know is that no parent wants to ask for help in feeding
their child. It is very different than asking for
clothing and asking for maybe rent
assistance. No one wants to admit that 'I don't have
enough food in my refrigerator for my family.'"

John, that's why
it's so important for us to be there for families whenever
they're in need, but we can't do it without you. Every $10
you give can help provide 100 meals - will you become a
supporter today?

Wishing you all the best this holiday
season, and thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
