John—
Sherrod Brown and I aren’t winning any best dressed awards, let’s be honest. I’m known for my dirt-stained farming t-shirts and you’re much more likely to find Sherrod in a wrinkled sweatshirt than a suit and tie.
We might not look, sound, or act like your typical senators, but that’s because we’re too busy fighting for our constituents to worry about all that hullabaloo.
Here’s another thing we have in common: We’re the only Democratic incumbents running in states that Trump won in 2020.
Montana and Ohio are considered to be the most competitive and important seats on the map. Polls are virtually tied, and if either of us loses—it’s game-over.
That’s why I’m teaming up with Sherrod to launch our Big Sky Buckeye Fund to raise $500,000 by midnight tonight. Will you step up with a split contribution to help Sherrod and me win our critically important elections?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation between Sherrod Brown and Jon Tester will go through immediately:
We’ve got a steep hill to climb if we want to win on Election Day. Mitch McConnell has personally named us as his top targets, and CNN ranks us the top two most vulnerable Democratic senators in the country.
Don’t get me wrong. We both know how to win tough fights—we each won our last election because we built the strongest grassroots teams the country has ever seen.
But the stakes are even higher now. Races are more expensive, and we’ll need to overcome the mountains of money that Mitch McConnell and his cronies are already throwing at us.
Simply put: We can’t win without you, John. That’s why Sherrod and I are launching a critical fundraising push today to defend Montana and Ohio’s Senate seats.
We set a must-hit goal of raising $500,000 by midnight tonight. Can we count on you to split $10 today between our campaigns? It’ll go a long way to help us keep fighting for the hardworking people of Montana and Ohio in the Senate.
When Sherrod and I win our races, it will be because of folks like you stepping up in moments like these.
Thank you,
Jon
