Folks, when you’re a Black woman in politics, you get called all kinds of names. Some nice, some not-so-nice, and some that I won’t even repeat here.

But I’m also proud to be called a mom, grandma, and Congresswoman. I decided to run for Congress back in 2016 to give Delaware the representation they deserve, and they’ve kept me grounded and committed to change every day since.

There’s one more important title I’m hoping to clinch next year: “the first woman and person of color to represent Delaware in the Senate” But making history is no easy feat, so I’m going to need your help to compete with the millions the GOP is preparing to spend to flip the Senate.

Together, we can shatter one of the highest glass ceilings in politics. With your $25 donation, we will get one step closer to reaching our November fundraising goal and having the resources to defend this seat.

The GOP has plenty of names to call me, but next year, let’s make sure “Senator” is one of them.
