On Saturday, we celebrated the second annual World Day for the Prevention of, and Healing from Child Sexual Abuse, Exploitation and Violence on November 18th. The Enough Abuse Campaign was a founding partner of the Global Collaborative that helped establish this day, which was officially declared by the United Nations in November 2022.
This year, we are thankful that Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey listened to the voices of survivors and child advocates, declaring Nov. 18th Childhood Sexual Abuse Awareness Day in Massachusetts. We are hopeful that this growing awareness will help our #PassthePreventionPackage campaign succeed to enact crucial child sexual abuse prevention laws in our state.
MassKids is a small organization making a big difference. Every dollar raised is spent strategically to take our prevention programs and policies to more communities. To learn more about our work, you can read our recent quarterly e-newsletter, the MassKids Chronicle.
We also invite you to join us for Say “Enough!”, a virtual fundraising event where you will learn how you can prevent child sexual abuse with MassKids, on Wednesday, Dec. 6th from 12pm-1pmEST. Click here to register.
