From the warehouse workers facing extraordinary rates of injury, to the drivers experiencing inhumane demands to delivery packages, to the workers exposed to toxic chemicals making products Amazon makes and sells, the company needs to be doing far more to protect the people driving Amazon’s incredible profits. Warehouse workers in the US are organizing, delivery drivers filed a class action lawsuit, and there’s growing public awareness of labor abuses. As consumers, we need to raise our voices to support workers’ call for change at Amazon. In 2021, Jeff Bezos told shareholders that he wanted Amazon to be “Earth's Best Employer and Earth's Safest Place to Work." So far, the reality is far from that.
