Throughout my life, the common thread has been a commitment to public service . My parents were both educators. I served in the U.S. Army. I’m a former Georgia state legislator, and now represent Georgia’s 2nd Congressional District.

While representing Middle and Southwest Georgia, I have worked tirelessly for my district, state, and country. I have stood steadfast in my support for working families, our rights, and making progress on issues like inflation, gun violence, and access to better opportunities no matter your zip code.

But Republicans are standing in the way of our path to further progress. They want to roll back the progress we’ve made, infringe on our rights, and play party politics.
