About the job

"**This recruitment will be used to fill five (5) part-time seasonal positions, working an average of 25 hours per week. A typical workday is from 9am to 2pm. The season runs six months from December/January to May/June, but employees wishing to return for another season do not need to apply again. This is a benefit eligible position during the working season.**"

Do you enjoy engaging and educating people of all ages? Do you enjoy presenting relevant and meaningful civic education information that will promote thoughtful and participatory citizenship in state government? Do you just enjoy educating, engaging and interacting with K-12 students, teachers and parents in a dynamic and historical setting?

As a *Civic Education Guide*, you will work within the State Capitol Visitor Services program and conduct guided informational and educational tours of the Capitol campus. You must be personable and comfortable coordinating and speaking in front of large and small groups and able to assist with campus events. You must also be able to plan and conduct in-person and virtual tours of the capitol campus.
