These last couple of months has been busy, busy, busy. Despite the Speaker debacle which paralyzed Congress and was made possible by the House GOP, Bill has been hard at work for our community.

Here's what's been on our plate:

Investing in public safety
6 New Jersey police departments have been awarded $4 million to hire 32 new police officers, bolstering the safety and security of our neighborhoods. We also secured $94,000 to support essential de-escalation training to ensure the safety of civilians in crisis as well as the responding officers. This is tremendous news for our communities, and will strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Protecting our service members' privacy
The Moving Americans Privacy Protection Act advanced this month, requiring Customs and Border Protection to remove personally identifiable information (PII) from cargo documentation. This is a common sense measure to prevent identity theft and our plan will protect Americans from accidentally having personal information end up in the wrong hands.

Protecting consumers from unfair ticket pricing
Everyone should be able to enjoy a Bruce Springsteen or Taylor Swift concert without getting gouged on tickets. For decades, we have known that the ticket market has been the Wild West: mammoth, opaque, speculative, and brutally unfair. All-in ticket pricing is a policy we have been fighting for, will make a difference in people’s lives, and it is good news the committee approved it.
