Jack, so far this month we have raised $37,129 less than last month from 2,526 fewer donors—this is not good.

Our fundraising almost always picks up at the end of the month, but with Thanksgiving this week, I am worried that's not going to happen. For the first time this year, I don't know if we are going to reach our fundraising goal.

The majority of Daily Kos's revenue comes from donations of just a few dollars from our readers and activists. This means we are relying more and more on your support to keep operating as usual. If we miss a fundraising goal, we need to make that money up, sometimes that may mean making budget cuts.

We need to raise $158,925 by the end of November. That's why I am asking you, Jack, if you can, to donate $5 to Daily Kos so we keep producing the quality content and effective actions you come to expect from us.
