Good afternoon, John,

Mike Gallagher calls it “a crisis of epic proportions.”

‌


But Americans have been saying “enough is enough!” for a long time.

‌


Americans on the right and left are worried about criminals just walking
across the border.

‌


That’s why our sister organization Americans for Prosperity Foundation has
been taking people to the southwestern border to see the crisis first-hand.

‌


What’s the antidote to the crisis? Increases in Border Patrol personnel,
barriers in strategic locations, modernized technology, and a more expansive
and streamlined legal immigration system.

‌


My name is Jordan Fischetti and I’m your immigration policy fellow here at
Americans for Prosperity.

‌


We believe legal immigration and border security are complimentary—not
competing objectives.

‌


Mike and I chatted about how fixing our broken legal immigration system would
also reduce illegal immigration.

‌


When people who want to pursue the American Dream can use a legal channel to
come to America, it reduces illegal border crossings and enables Border Patrol
to focus on apprehending criminal elements and threats to our national security.
