John,

It's time to unrig Washington. Too many legislators are beholden to corporate money, and a politicized Supreme Court remains dangerously out of step with our nation’s highest ideals.

If we want to restore confidence in our democratic institutions, we need to ensure they work for the people, not corporations, politicians, or special interests. We need bold anti-corruption measures that will put the American people first.

I’ve introduced a political reform platform designed to strengthen our democracy, with measures including:

* Banning campaign contributions from PACs and lobbyists of any kind;
* Banning stock trading by members of Congress and lobbying from retired members;
* Setting 12-year term limits for members of Congress;
* Setting 18-year term limits for Supreme Court Justices; and
* Implementing a judicial code of ethics for Supreme Court justices and federal judges.

We have the power to build a better democracy for every American. But to make that happen, Washington needs to get its act together.

Sign the petition: Pass bold anti-corruption measures and restore faith in a democracy by and for the people. [[link removed]]

Thank you for your activism and all that you do.

In solidarity,
Ro
