Election Season
Recap!

New Jersey Young Dems brought about big change
this election season! From the high rises of NJ’s cities to the sandy
beaches of the Jersey Shore, our Young Democrats were helping
candidates win elections, at the State Senate level down to school
boards.
All of the work was Jersey-centric — with no
federal elections this cycle — and NJYD showed up, hosting text banks,
taking part in days of action across the state, distributing
literature from neighborhood to neighborhood, and engaging in
door-to-door canvassing! We are so proud of our Young Dems for all
their hard work this season and every election
cycle!
NJYD Winning
Candidates

We are thrilled to
congratulate the NJYD candidates who won their races this election
cycle! We picked up six legislative seats, expanding our majority in
the General Assembly while holding onto a majority in the Senate.
Additionally, a few of our candidates broke ground in districts that
had long been republican controlled.
A huge win for New Jersey Democrats! Congratulations
to all NJYD candidates who won their races!
November Young Dem of
the Month

Congratulations to Winfield Jai, our November Young
Dem of the Month! As the NJDSC Asian
American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Caucus Vice-Chair,
Winfield has demonstrated his commitment to representing and
amplifying the voices of the AANHPI community within the Democratic
Party. His role serves as a crucial platform for advocating for the
needs and concerns of AANHPI constituents, ensuring their inclusion
and representation in the political landscape. Additionally, Winfield works as the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce -
Northeast Chapter Program Coordinator for the SBA Community
Navigation Pilot Program.
Winfield's dedication to public service is evident through
his previous roles. While working for Mayor Sayegh's Office, Winfield
conducted outreach to and engaged with the Chinese community in the
City of Paterson to support important initiatives and take action. His
work played an impactful role in Mayor Sayegh’s 2022 Mayoral Election,
assisting the Mayor in his re-election campaign.
Additionally, Winfield's founding of the Chinese American
Revival LLC showcases his commitment to community service and
political campaigns that benefit Asian American communities throughout
New Jersey. By narrowing the gaps and finding common ground between
Asian American communities and society at large, he actively works
towards creating a more racially equal America. His passion for
fostering equality and justice is truly inspiring.
Congratulations again, Winfield! Keep inspiring and
striving for a more equitable future!
