Did you see the news this weekend, y’all?

During Donald Trump’s stunt visit to the border on Sunday, Greg Abbott gave his full-throated endorsement to the disgraced, twice-impeached, federally indicted former President. Rush $3 now to help Texas Democrats stand against the likes of Abbott and Trump.

Abbott’s endorsement comes as Trump has ramped up his authoritarian run for President. Trump has refused to rule out reinstating and even expanding his Muslim ban, supports mass detention camps for immigrants, and is pushing to end birthright citizenship -- all while keeping the door open to restoring his cruel and inhumane past policies of separating families at the border. And now, he’s gone so far as to use language that blatantly echoes fascists like Mussolini and Hitler.

All of this played out against the backdrop of Texas Republicans’ disturbing push for dangerous, racist legislation. Last week, they passed -- under Greg Abbott’s orders -- one of the most extreme border bills in Texas history: SB 4, a new law aimed at targeting, imprisoning, and deporting vulnerable migrants while also criminalizing Texas residents based on their perceived citizenship status and the color of their skin.

The thought of Donald Trump back in the White House -- with Greg Abbott's support -- is a direct threat to Texas families, our diverse communities, and the very foundations of our democracy. Texas Democrats are fighting tooth and nail against their dangerous, divisive policies -- but we can’t do it alone, y’all.
