I may be running for Governor, but I’m proud to say I’ve been a nurse for my entire career. Over the years I’ve seen people and families in some of their worst moments and had the privilege to care for them. Being a nurse is why I ran for public office in the first place – so I could fight for healthier communities.

It’s also why the Governor asked me to lead Delaware’s COVID-19 advisory committee in 2020 where I made sure we listened to the experts and let the science guide us.

Working on the ground during the COVID-19 pandemic taught me how strong Delaware really is – and I was especially proud of my health care community and the fellow nurses I watched step up and work long, grueling hours to save as many lives as they could.
