Friends and Comrades- As we head into the Thankstaking holiday, let's take time to relax, reflect, and hopefully enjoy the company of friends and/or family. Let's also remember that while many of us have a nice long weekend ahead of us, many others, especially in the service and retail industries, are entering a very stressful period of their years in jobs that are not unionized. So, if you're out shopping or eating this weekend, make sure to recognize the hard work that your fellow humans are doing, oftentimes in exploitive conditions.

Join us at Earthcare(6600 Valentine Way) for our monthly General Meeting. We'll be voting on the creation of a Socialists in Office Resolution, appointing NEC Steering Committee electors, and discussing next steps on how to keep pressuring our representatives to demand a ceasefire in Gaza.

The pressure is working! Gabe Vasquez, Representative for NM Congressional District 2, has essentially called for a ceasefire; while our own Rep., Teresa Leger Fernandez, has shown signs she is moving in that direction. We are showing them that the people of New Mexico will not tolerate the continued funding of apartheid and genocide. Let's keep it up!

DSA National has been hosting weekly phonebanks to contact members about pressuring their Congressional representatives to support Cori Bush and Rashida Tlaib's Ceasefire NOW resolution.

Because we've run nationally endorsed campaign, our chapter has the opportunity to select two members to be electors for the National Electoral Commission's Steering Committee. This committee is a body of 13 leaders who will guide us through the expansion committed to by convention with passage of our consensus resolution.
