Dear Friend,

When you think of the Arctic, you probably envision snowy, wintry landscapes.
Polar bears lumber along the ice shelf. Their cubs play together in their icy
dens.

But the truth is more sinister: polar bear habitat is shrinking rapidly. And these precious arctic animals are struggling to survive. They are suffering
some of the worst impacts of the human-driven climate crisis. Each day, polar bears are being pushed closer to the brink of EXTINCTION and
Big Oil doesn't show signs of stopping its destruction. Without urgent action, we could lose polar bears forever and our planet will be
in serious peril. Donate $27 today to help us reach our $5,020 goal for the
Arctic, the wildlife that calls it home, and our planet.

The Arctic is melting away before our very eyes. One of the main culprits of
this disaster is the fossil fuel industry. Greedy corporations and Big Oil are
exploiting our Earth. They charge through, bringing toxic chemicals and waste. Not only does the pollution put Arctic wildlife in danger, but it hurts local communities too.

Big Oil’s contaminants are harming the entire Arctic landscape. And its actions
are contributing to climate change -- all for the sake of profit. I’m reaching
out to you today because I know you won’t stand for this. Will you take action
today to help protect our precious Arctic landscapes and the planet before it’s
too late?

[[link removed]]The Arctic’s landscape is one of nature’s most majestic places. High snowy
mountain peaks that reach clouds, to glaciers and icebergs that cover the
sparkling blue icy waters. Arctic species and the ecosystem rely on the cold,
rigid climate to eat, reproduce, and survive. But the Arctic is warming TWICE as FAST as the rest of the world. This wonderous place, the creatures that call it
home, and the communities that rely on it could soon reach a point of no return.

But the danger doesn’t end with wildlife, Friend. Because
of the weather and fragile ice, oil spills are even more likely in the Arctic.
In a review of Shell’s plans to drill in the Alaskan Arctic Ocean, the U.S.
Department of the Interior found that there’s a 75 percent chance of a major oil spill if an oil company finds oil and produces it. And because of its remote
locations, it’s practically impossible to clean a spill in the Arctic. To make
matters worse, oil spills could also damage fisheries and tourism -- impacting
local economies and communities.

Even on the off chance a spill doesn’t occur, Big Oil’s practices impact the
entire landscape and nearby communities. With more drilling comes noise
pollution and toxic greenhouse gas emissions. And local residents, including
tribes like the Gwich’in people, are left to suffer the consequences. Imagine
having to constantly endure endless noise and toxic, polluted air in your
everyday life!

If Big Oil gets away with drilling in the Arctic, there could be dire
consequences for arctic wildlife, people, and the planet. Enough is enough: we
need accountability and protection of our planet and its inhabitants. Will you
sit by while the federal government gives dirty energy handouts to the fossil fuel industry? Or will you speak up today and fight back to stand
with local communities and defend our planet from corporate greed?

Help protect the Arctic from catastrophic oil drilling. Rush your $27 donation
now and help us reach our $5,020 goal!

[[link removed]]Aside from its beauty, the Arctic is a vital landscape that helps keep our
planet healthy. Ice in the Arctic reflects some of the sun’s energy back into
space, helping to keep the Earth cool. The more ice melts, the more rays from
the sun are absorbed into the planet. And that causes even more warming! The
cycle has to stop before our Arctic landscapes are lost forever.

But we have bad news: the Biden administration has caved to pressure from Big
Oil by signing a new rule permitting increased oil and gas activity in the Arctic. When Big Oil charges through, it brings toxic pollutants into the region and
releases harmful greenhouse gas emissions that speed up the ice melting even
more. That further threatens the Arctic and the wildlife that lives there.

Friends of the Earth is fighting tooth and nail against Big Oil and polluters
that are threatening to destroy the Arctic and our planet. We’re pushing for
stronger federal protections for the Arctic. At the same time, we’re fighting
against attacks on bedrock laws like the National Environmental Policy Act that
helps keep the Arctic and its communities safe from the fossil fuel industry.

But we’re facing intense pushback, and we need your help if we’re going to win this fight. Your membership contribution today will help
us fight back against Big Polluters and protect the future of the Arctic, local
communities, and the rest of the planet that relies on it. If just 7 more activists from your area make a membership
contribution of $27 today, we can reach our $5,020 goal and give the Arctic and our planet a fighting chance. Friend, I wouldn’t be asking if it wasn’t important: will you stand with
Friends of the Earth today and fight to keep the Arctic cold, communities safe,
and the planet healthy?

Stop dangerous oil and gas drilling from harming our precious Arctic landscapes,
the people that rely on them, and our planet. Donate $27 before the clock
strikes midnight!
