The centerpiece of the Health Affairs Insider Journal Club meeting in November is, “Studies Of Prescription Digital Therapeutics Often Lack Rigor And Inclusivity ([link removed] ) .”

In the paper, authors discuss their research, the first retrospective cross-sectional analysis of clinical studies of twenty prescription digital therapeutics authorized by the FDA and available on the market as of November 2022.

Their results suggest the need for a more rigorous and inclusive approach to clinical research supporting FDA-authorized prescription digital therapeutics. A stronger evidence base would increase confidence in these technologies.

On November 27, please join authors Anika Kumar and Sanket Dhruva from the University of California San Francisco for a detailed discussion of the paper’s data, methods, and policy implications. Health Affairs Senior Editor Ellen Bayer will host.

Date: Monday, November 27, 2023

Time: 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Eastern

Place: Online details will be shared with registrants 24 hours in advance of the event
