President Biden reaffirms his strong support for Israel and opposition to a ceasefire with Hamas.
Israeli forces continue to uncover weapons, tunnel shafts, and terror command centers stored in hospitals, schools, and homes throughout Gaza.
For 43 days, 240 Israeli hostages — including 33 children — have been held inside Gaza by Hamas.
Dear A.,
Yesterday, in a Washington Post op-ed, President Biden detailed his administration’s policies regarding Israel’s war to destroy Hamas.
The president reaffirmed his unequivocal support for the Jewish state, writing, "We stand firmly with the Israeli people as they defend themselves against the murderous nihilism of Hamas."
He also blasted Hamas’ despicable goal, inhumane strategies and complete disregard for human life. "Hamas’s terrorist strategy: hide among Palestinian civilians. Use children and innocents as human shields. Position terrorist tunnels beneath hospitals, schools, mosques and residential buildings. Maximize the death and suffering of innocent people — Israeli and Palestinian. If Hamas cared at all for Palestinian lives, it would release all the hostages, give up arms, and surrender the leaders and those responsible for Oct. 7."
Biden also forcefully rejected the notion of a ceasefire with Hamas. "Hamas has promised that it will relentlessly try to repeat Oct. 7. It has said very clearly that it will not stop," the president wrote. "As long as Hamas clings to its ideology of destruction, a cease-fire is not peace. To Hamas’s members, every cease-fire is time they exploit to rebuild their stockpile of rockets, reposition fighters and restart the killing by attacking innocents again. An outcome that leaves Hamas in control of Gaza would once more perpetuate its hate and deny Palestinian civilians the chance to build something better for themselves."
Not all elected officials share the administration’s view. Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have called for the U.S. to add political conditions on the $14.3 billion aid package requested by President Biden.
Their dangerous plan was rejected by Democratic and Republican House members, but we must keep up our activism to ensure members of Congress remain ironclad in their support of Israel, opposition to a ceasefire, and commitment to passing the president’s request for Israel.

Israel is continuing to press into the Shifa Hospital compound. New security camera footage obtained by the IDF from October 7 reveals Hamas terrorists bringing kidnapped hostages into the Shifa Hospital — more indisputable evidence of Hamas' despicable use of the hospital as cover for its atrocities. Watch the footage here.
As soldiers confront Hamas, the IDF is coordinating a massive influx of humanitarian and medical supplies to the hospital.
For the first time, an IDF unit comprised of both men and women are operating in Gaza, joining the ground forces confronting Hamas. Watch here.
In an emotional and powerful oped, Maayan Zin, the mother of two young girls — Dafna, 15, and Ella, 8 — being held hostage by Hamas, detailed her trauma, fear, horror and hope. Her pleas echo those of the parents of the 31 other children held by Hamas — and she speaks for the parents who were killed on Oct. 7.
ARAB LEADER SPEAKS OUT: Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa delivered a strong condemnation of Hamas and the barbaric massacre on Oct. 7, becoming one of the first Arab leaders to condemn the terror group publicly and unequivocally.
