Folks, Americans everywhere are preparing for what will likely be the most expensive Thanksgiving dinner in recent history.
In fact, everything seems to be more expensive these days. Groceries, childcare, rent, car prices, and much more have all seen dramatic increases in price recently.
But you know what hasn’t increased? The federal minimum wage.
Minimum wage has sat at $7.25 per hour since 2009. And even though many states have increased their own minimum wage, the fact remains that there are still tens of thousands of hardworking Americans making poverty wages.
Let’s put it this way: If you’re making $7.25 per hour, a pack of toilet paper likely costs more than one hour of your labor.
Yeah. We think it’s time for a change, too.
Will you stand with us in calling on Congress to finally raise the minimum wage?
Together,
NextGen America
