Dear John,

Today is Abortion Provider Appreciation Day, the annual day honoring abortion care providers everywhere through acts of gratitude.

This year, NIRH is partnering with the Abortion Care Network (ACN) and advocates across the country to call on cities to officially recognize this important holiday. Recently, Atlanta, Minneapolis, St. Louis and St. Paul have done just that; and stay tuned - we expect to the list of cities recognizing Abortion Provider Appreciation Day to grow within the next few weeks!

John, you can show some love for abortion providers on social media. Click here to #CelebrateProviders on Twitter! bit.ly/3312ww8

Today's day of gratitude first began in 1996 to remember the life of Dr. David Gunn, an abortion provider who was assassinated by an anti-abortion white supremacist on March 10, 1993. Since then, it has grown to include acts of thoughtful celebration of providers by local, state, and national advocates in communities and online using the hashtag #CelebrateAbortionProviders.

Abortion providers are on the front lines of the fight for reproductive freedom, and many offer care under threat of their lives. They deserve our thanks and appreciation every day, and especially on today, Abortion Provider Appreciation Day. Send them some love online! bit.ly/3312ww8

In solidarity,

Andrea Miller
President
NIRH
