John, I have some bad news to share:
My opponents, Adam Schiff and Katie Porter, outraised me again – and now we need to make up ground fast.
John, we have serious ground to cover this quarter to stay competitive and finally pull ahead in the polls. That's why I need to raise at least $25,000 through grassroots donations by midnight tonight to keep pace with my ambitious fundraising goals.
Will you donate $5 or more now to help me get back on track, pull ahead in the polls and build a progressive future in the Senate?

John, there is only one reason why a Black woman with a track record of progressive accomplishments as impressive and airtight as mine would lose this primary: money.
You see, the sad truth is that Black women candidates like myself on average raise just one-third as much money as white candidates do – and if you need further proof that this metric is true, all you need to do is look at this primary race.
But here's the thing – as a Black woman in politics, I learned pretty early how to make more with less. So I don't need to raise the most in this race, but I do need enough to keep my ads live, knock on more doors and meet voters face-to-face.
Right now, I'm just 3 points away from qualifying for the general election, and I know that we can get there with your support. But I'm up against big-money candidates that are sitting on millions, so I have to ask: Will you chip in now to help power my fight for progress? I know I can get to the Senate, but I can only do it with your help.

Thank you.
