John,
This Runoff Election is a decision about whether we move forward with a politician or a public servant. The politician will always demand we pay more taxes, endure more ineptitude from government, and ignore our real priorities.
We deserve a public servant who listens to us, hears our concerns, and acts decisively. That is why you will be able to count on me to fight for lower tax rates so our families keep more of what they earn.
While I pledge to fight property tax increases, Mary Nan Huffman has been busy voting to increase them – not once, but multiple times. In just two years, Mary Nan has voted to increase our taxes multiple times. If she were to win this runoff, we can expect yet another vote to make District G families pay even more than they are enduring today.
Not to mention she’s enthusiastically voted for city budgets WELL IN EXCESS of all available revenue.
What’s her plan to pay for that debt? More taxes?
I come from humble beginnings – my dad was a butcher, and my mom drove a school bus. They taught me the value of every dollar and the struggle of making ends meet. That's why I'm adamant about not raising our taxes. Families across District G are feeling the pinch with rising costs everywhere, and the last thing you need is the city demanding you pay them more.
Let's make a stand against "More-Taxes Mary Nan."
Let’s vote to secure a future where our city spends wisely, not wastefully.
This runoff election is about choosing a leader who understands the value of your hard-earned money. I’m committed to fiscal responsibility and transparency, never raising your property taxes, and ensuring that the taxes we do pay are used effectively for the betterment of District G.
See you at the polls,
Tony Buzbee
