Instead of protecting the planet, Amazon is squeezing every last drop it can.

We've had enough. Sign the petition to help hold Amazon accountable for its environmental impact.

Dear MoveOn member,

Amazon is one of the most powerful corporations in history. It is remaking how the economy works in the 21st century by squeezing every last drop it can from workers and the environment. We are done with their business model that puts profit ahead of people and the planet. We won't let Amazon continue to threaten our future.

Take action now to demand Amazon commit to zero emissions by 2030.

It's going to take outside pressure and ongoing action to hold Amazon accountable for its environmental impact. Amazon’s emissions are up about 40% since 2019, it quietly canceled its 2030 target for zeroing out its deliveries’ carbon emissions, and Amazon was even removed from key list of climate-conscious companies.1

Four years into a plan to eliminate its carbon emissions, Amazon.com Inc. lost a key endorsement from the world’s leading watchdog of corporate climate goals. The Science Based Targets initiative, a United Nations-backed entity that validates net-zero plans, has removed Amazon from its list of companies taking action on climate goals after Amazon failed to implement its commitment to set a credible target for reducing carbon emissions.2

Will you add your name to our petition urging Amazon to operate sustainably?

Amazon places profits ahead of workers, society, and our planet. It's time to Make Amazon Pay.

Amazon takes too much and gives back too little. Together, we will Make Amazon Pay.

The global movement to stop Amazon's squeezing of workers, communities, and the planet is demanding that Amazon change its policies. Governments must change their laws to raise workers’ pay, suspend Amazon's harsh productivity and surveillance regime used to oppress workers, end all forms of casual employment, end union busting, demand Amazon reach net zero by 2030, and pay back to society by paying taxes in full.

The Make Amazon Pay campaign brings together a coalition of more than 80 organizations working toward labor, tax, climate, data, and racial justice; more than 400 lawmakers; and tens of thousands of supporters from around the world.3 Amazon's squeeze on workers, communities, and our planet cannot continue. This planetary movement has the power to Make Amazon Pay, but it can't win without you.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Book bans have skyrocketed thanks to right-wing state laws which have forced teachers to remove books from their classrooms. In response, MoveOn is launching a "Banned Bookmobile," filling it with books that the far right has banned, and driving it around to hand out those books, for free, in highly trafficked areas that will attract media attention. To keep the Banned Bookmobile up and running into 2024, we need your help.

Will you start a monthly gift to power our critical work?
