John, at the very last minute, our government was able to evade a catastrophic shutdown. Petty games and brinkmanship are no way to govern.

Throwing tantrums might be the norm at our local kindergarten, but as elected officials, no one should be putting their own interests over the American people. If we let Mike Johnson and the GOP continue leading, they'll continue sinking our country into a state of crisis. They've already done it three times since they took the majority in January.

We need bold leaders in Congress with the courage to stand up to powerful interests in Washington to save lives; not imperiling the functions of government playing political games.

This campaign is about taking action. The gun violence epidemic, the unjust American healthcare system, reproductive freedom, the climate crisis, our democracy; these issues demand leaders within a House majority that is ready to serve.
