This week, I explored the deeper, troubling reasons behind a dangerous new trend on TikTok in which people are actually celebrating Osama bin Laden. Yes, you read that right. 

I also continued to call out the radical pro-Hamas movement that is continuing to gain strength on the progressive left and called on Congress to strike a deal with the White House for additional measures to secure our southern border.

A DANGEROUS NEW TIKTOK TREND
There is a dangerous new trend circulating on TikTok right now in which people are promoting Osama bin Laden’s “Letter to America,” justifying the horrific 9/11 terrorist attacks. 

This trend exposes two deep-seeded issues that must be taken seriously:

1. There’s a growing problem with our education system when all it takes is one letter from a terrorist to “totally change the perspective” of countless young people regarding the killing of thousands of innocent Americans at the hands of Bin Laden. It tells you that our education system is failing to give young Americans the proper context through which to view this atrocity. It also is indicative of a generation that has been conditioned to sympathize with those who wish to destroy America and her institutions, out of some misplaced sense of justice against “oppression” from the United States.

2. This is also another reason why TikTok poses a serious threat to the United States and the young people who are addicted to this app (which, again, is controlled by the Chinese government). As I said during a congressional hearing with the TikTok CEO, the app has the ability to warp the minds of millions of Americas and perpetuate an anti-American sentiment among an entire generation of our citizens. Dangerous trends like this one spread like wildfire on TikTok, and the damage is hard to undo once thousands upon thousands of American TikTok users begin to sympathize with Osama Bin Laden. 
THE "FREE PALESTINE" MOVEMENT EXCUSES THE ATROCITIES OF HAMAS
More evidence continues to emerge of the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists against innocent Israeli citizens, including video circulating this week of brutal sexual violence committed on October 7. 

Yet in light of these atrocities and the overwhelming, undeniable evidence that continues to emerge, we continue to see a pro-Hamas contingent on the progressive left masquerading as a “Free Palestine” movement. 

Let’s be clear: You need to do some serious soul searching if you continue to march for and chant “Free Palestine” in the wake of the horrific video evidence of the brutality of these terrorists against women, children, and innocent civilians. 

Just this week, radical members of this “Free Palestine” movement engaged in violent demonstrations outside the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. They injured Capitol Police officers and decried their own party for supporting Israel in their war against Hamas. 

This is a serious, sickening problem on the progressive left and it is only growing stronger. 
THE ONLY IMMEDIATE DEAL TO SECURE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER
There is only one, immediate deal on the table in Congress to secure our southern border: tying any additional aid for Ukraine with substantial policy changes to curtail illegal immigration. 

Right now, there are negotiations underway in the Senate to pair meaningful reforms - like addressing abuses in our asylum system that encourage illegal immigration - to Ukraine aid. 

This is something I have been calling for in Congress, because it is our only leverage point to force the White House to actually sign border security policies into law. 

Republicans must understand that this is the only way we will get meaningful border security, which we badly need. This is our one chance.

The White House desperately wants to provide additional aid for Ukraine, which we can use to our advantage in leveraging new measures to secure our own border. Our message is simple: no aid to Ukraine without meaningful policy reforms to stop the illegal immigration crisis.
