Friend,
Considering your concern for our work toward global population stabilization, I’m excited to introduce you to Colombia-based Women for Conservation. This small nonprofit involves rural communities—and particularly the women in those communities—in habitat conservation around critically endangered wildlife reserves.
Thanks to the support of generous supporters—people just like you!—we awarded $25,000 to Women for Conservation last year!
While Colombia is one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth, deforestation threatens its rainforest ecosystems. Women living in Colombia’s remote rural areas often lack access to reproductive health services, while facing early marriage and childbirth, as well as high rates of gender-based violence.
Over the last year, thanks to support from Population Connection and people like you, Women for Conservation has expanded its reach abroad, replicating its women-centered conservation mission by training 100 women in Sierra Leone on reforestation, and training and employing six local women to work as forest rangers in Madagascar—all while continuing to expand throughout rural areas of Colombia.
That’s why I hope you’ll consider a gift of $15.00 towards our Global Partners Campaign today. Your gift will be doubled by our generous matching gift sponsor—up to $250,000!
Your generosity will support all of our Global Partners, including Women for Conservation, and their efforts to provide family planning, training in sustainable livelihoods, wildlife conservation, more.
You can join us in this endeavor with your gift of $15.00 now. Your support will be DOUBLED, now through December 31st!
Thank you for all that you do,
